Zonya Battershell

  Zonya has been a board member of the HSF since 2007. She received her BS in Business Administration at Berea College, Berea KY and is currently working on her MBA at Indiana Tech. Zonya works at Steel Dynamics in the finance department. She was very excited to be a member of the team that worked to get the new school levy passed, was also on the design committee for the new school and is very excited to see the school taking shape!

Zonya and spouse Tom have lived in Hicksville for 24 years and have 3 children. Kelli is 24 and studying for her graduate degree in Occupational Therapy at University of Indianapolis. Tyler is 23 and attends BGSU where he is studying Construction Management. Logan is currently a student at HHS.

Patrick Briskey

  Pat has served as an HSF Director since 2004 and is the Foundation's vice-president. He is the president of Briskey Financial, LLC in Bryan, OH, a fee-only investment advisory and financial planning firm. Pat is a graduate of Stryker High School, Northwest State Community College, and Franklin University, and holds various investment and insurance licenses.

Pat and his wife Heidi, a Hicksville Elementary teacher and the HHS varsity volleyball coach, are happy to call Hicksville home. They are the parents of Austin, Natalie, and Kaiti. He is honored to participate on a board that pro-actively supplements the needs of others, and welcomes questions from the community about the vital benefit the Hicksville School Foundation provides to Hicksville schools.

Kevin Miller

  Kevin Miller is in his twenty-fourth year as an educator and his fourth as the superintendent of Hicksville Village Schools. Previous to becoming a superintendent, he was an English teacher and high school principal. He served as Hicksville Elementary assistant principal for one year before assuming the district superintendency.

Mr. Miller is a 1983 graduate of The Defiance College and has attained a master's degree in secondary education. He is currently working toward a doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership. Kevin and his wife Carla reside in rural Payne with their young sons, Yale, Collin, and Breckin. He is excited to be involved with the Hicksville School Foundation because it is a prime example of the community and school partnering to provide quality educational experiences for students.

Sheri Perry

  Sheri Perry has been an HSF Director since 2007. She and her husband Ken hail from the Muncie, Indiana area originally and have been Hicksville residents since 1997. Their son Wesley is a Hicksville Elementary student.

Sheri has been a human resources professional for over fifteen years and is currently Human Resources Manager for Didier Printing in Fort Wayne. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor degree in business administration.

The daughter of a retired teacher, Sheri is thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the Hicksville community and school system that has been so welcoming to her family. She sees education and community spirit as an important foundation of Hicksville and hopes to be able to enhance this through the HSF.

Karen Schmidt

  Karen Schmidt represents the Hicksville Exempted Village School Board as a Foundation director. She has owned and operated several businesses in northwest Ohio, and is currently active in many local organizations.

Karen and her husband, Jim, are the parents of three daughters. Kendra ('02), Kelsey, an HHS sophmore, and Karley, at Hicksville Middle School. Karen enjoys helping wherever she can make a difference and being involved in making the community of Hicksville a place that anyone would like to call home.

Greg Slattery

  Greg became a Hicksville School Foundation Director in April 2008. He is a Vice President at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, which has hospitals in Bryan, Montpelier, and Archbold, Ohio.

A 1976 alumni of HHS, Greg earned an Associates Degree at Northwest State Community College and a Bachelors Degree from The Indiana Institute of Technology. Other than time overseas with the US Army and several years with Electronic Data Systems he is a life long resident of Hicksville. Greg and wife Lisa have 3 children, Zac, Joe and Allison attending Hicksville Schools. Older children Jeff and Natasha are both HHS graduates.

He is excited to be involved in such a positive and visionary program to help fund extra educational opportunities for the students of the Hicksville School District.

Robert Weatherhead

  Bob Weatherhead has served on the Hicksville School Foundation Board of Directors since 2002, currently serving as treasurer. He is the controller at The Wholesale House, a car audio distributor in Hicksville.

Bob and his wife Shelly ('84) are the parents of five children, twins Matthew (currently attending Miami University), and Marcus (attending Ohio University), Macy, Mitchell, and McKenna, all students in the Hicksville School system.

He is very interested in exploring ideas and opportunities for all Hicksville students to get the most of their educational experience.

Chad Yoder

  Chad has served as an HSF Director since 2005 and assumed the role as the Foudation's President in 2008. He is the Chief Financial Officer at The Hicksville Bank, and is a graduate of Hicksville High School (’93), Capital University (’97), and Blythe School of Banking (’02).

Chad and his wife Shelly (’94) are both life long Hicksville residents and have two children, Gage and Peyton, both students in the Hicksville Exempted School system.

Chad hopes to maximize the opportunities that are made available through the HSF that will assist in the betterment of our students and faculty.
